Son's college apartment provides basic DISH cable at their complex with no HD. Their main LR
television is just plugged into the wall outlet - no box/receiver/nothing included. He bought the HD Blade
indoor antenna and is able to pick up the local ota channels when he hooked up the Blade.
They want to watch football games in HD so it's fine that they can just get ABC and CBS with the Blade plugged in.
But he doesn't know what extra items to buy and/or how to hook whatever up so that he doesn't have
to unplug the HD Blade and plug in the regular DISH cable to go back to watching the basic cable
that the apartment provides like ESPN, etc.
Does he need to get a splitter and an RG-6 cable and hook those all up somehow with the HD Blade and the
DISH cable to be able to use the DISH remote control to change channels back and forth without having to unplug stuff?
I would think that this is possible somehow and if someone could please explain if it is or not we sure would appreciate it.
