We have a condo unit that we stay at only a couple days out of the week. At our primary home, we have a DTV HR34, so can watch any recorded programs there.
The condos TV signal is just a Charter coax cable sticking through the wall (no set-top box). It is just the basic cable package currently analog (with both SD and HD programming), but will go all-digital later this year.
When we move permanently to the condo I will opt for a TiVo Roamio, but in the meantime, I have a "temporary" need for a DVR that needs to do nothing more than pause and rewind live TV (30 minute queue would be nice, but even 15 minutes would work). I have seen ads on Solid Signal for cheap DVRs (<$100). Is there one of these (or another unit) that is capable of only pausing/rewinding? Which one(s) would you suggest? Thanks for any input you can provide . . .
