Hi all,
What a great site. Hoping I can get some education on the current situation I have (i have searched the forums and google and can only come up with one possibility here so looking for some more).
Setup:
Winegard HD8200U - mounted on rooftop 24' AGL and pointed at 13 degrees
Winegard LNA-200 Boost XT Digital HDTV Preamplifier
Total of 58' of cable from antenna to TV (pre-amp, grounding block, and USB power inserter being coupling points along the run).
TV Fool report at location: (had to remove the link because I don't have 5 posts yet). It is 58.1 miles from the transmitters in duluth, mn. I will post the link after my account is mature enough.
Here's the current performance: Getting the two VHF stations (ch 8 and ch 10) perfectly - total 6 digital between the two channels. What I'm stumped by is is there is NO UHF reception at all!
Only thing I found in searching around is that possibly the pre-amp is messing up UHF?
I did a channel scan on the TV (brand new) both during day and night, same results. I really confused because most of the neighbors up there have issues the opposite way - they get the UHF stations pretty easily with small antennas and I have this gigantic 10-footer on the roof and can only get VHF!!
Look forward to any responses. Thanks, Jon
