I have an HR-44 and 2 c-41's installed at home. The system works great, except that I believe on-demand downloads could be faster with a fixed connection versus the current wireless connection that I am using. I have reviewed posts on other forums that indicate a direct connection to the home network via an Ethernet cable would be fine. Most of those posts are over a year old, and I am concerned because I received recent feedback that not only is this connection method not approved by Directv, but that it can slso cause problems with the setup. I am looking for current information related to this type of connection. Thanks in advance.
