We have an H25 receiver and SWM dish installed by directv at seasonal home for about two years now. It has started with a 771 code which varies a lot in frequency. I saw it is generally cabling, so spent 5 hrs. running new coax and it still does it. I was not thinking it was signal as I checked and they were pretty much all in the 90's except the 110 which is only 2 of 3 transponders and in the 30's. Still I would read some places the 110 is not often used, etc. Then it would be good for awhile so I would leave it be.
Now today it is bad so have been reading here and ran the test suggested which through up 43-76-920 code. (76 phone line so doesn't matter)
So the 43 seems to mean peak the dish even though it is pretty much in the 90's? 920 is missing guide info so I look at the 119 and it only has 3 of 11 transponders but the 3 are like 95%.
Please tell me should I be peaking the dish and if so what satellite and transponder should I use? This has been making me crazy for over a year and seems I've checked everything along with the new coax. Even brought a different HD receiver and LNB up but would prefer to get the system here working. Have also checked the power and plugged it into a different outlet just in case, it throws out the 775 when unplugged but then seems fine with solid green light.
I think I've seen you do one satellite and the others (at least the 110) will take care of itself. I also used a phone app to insure a clear los with trees across the road an if it is right the sat's are well above them.
Since it is -15 degrees here I would like to know exactly how to do this when I go up there. I re peaked our HD dish at home after the roof was re shingled and it went fine but this I would like to know how to start and if it is the thing to do. Thank you so much, I would rather not have a technician in here.
