Found on the web... a new way to carry all the essential information with you. This comes from well-known tech forum DBSTalk.com, where satellite enthusiasts (myself included) have worked for ever a decade to make it better for regular folks with satellite TV.
This time it's user "runandhide05" who's doing the hard work, and he's put together an android app that lists common troubleshooting steps and error codes. It's available here, and here are some screen shots of the app in action, courtesy of the author:
I've personally used this app on an android device and it's handy and clever. I don't think it's a complete replacement for our list of tips and resources but it does put a lot of the most common stuff within two or three taps and that's going to get you moving a lot faster. It's definitely worth the time to download and it's absolutely free!
