Antenna mast taller than 5'

I am planning to add a second antenna to my existing mast. I had an installer out today to point my existing antenna where I want to pick up additional stations as a test, and it worked OK with my old UHF/VHF hi/VHF lo combo antenna (Winegard 7080 I think) After looking at the options I am thinking the Winegard HD-9032 looks like a good option since the stations I want to pick up are UHF only so I'm ready to the place the order but I have an issue with the mast to resolve first.

The installer mentioned that where the antenna is currently located putting another antenna further down on the same mast may not work well since it will be a bit low for the roof line, so getting a mast that is a couple feet higher would help. I currently have a fairly standard heavy duty 1.25" mast 5' high. He said the U clamp on the tripod could probably hold something bigger like 1 1/2 or maybe 1 5/8" and suggested seeing if I could find one around 7' (or longer as he could cut it down if necessary)

I don't see any taller masts at Solid Signal. Is there some sort of extension I should be buying instead that will fit over it? I'm sure I can find this sort of tubing at a place like Lowes if I knew what to look for, as shipping a 7' or 8' long pole may cost more than the pole itself! What would you recommend?
