Brand New HR34 Directv Receiver

Hi,
This is my first post and I hope someone can guide me with a question.

I have an HR34 Directv receiver that was accidentally left behind by a technician. What can be done with this, other than sending it back? Does DTV know that this unit is in any way connected to my name or account? The receiver was shipped to me, but an installer brought one to my house when he installed it and used the one that he brought. Can I sell this? Is it worth anything?
