I'm looking to move to an RVU solution in my house and I'm working on my "test zone". I purchased a Sony XBR-49X830C because of the Android platform. I can't find any support documentation of Sony's RVU implementation or set-up other than the generic DirecTV support page (tons of info on Samsung). I'm using a HR34 as my server on a MoCA network with another HR24. The HR24 does NOT show up as a client to my HR34, which I suspect is significant. Initially I tried a MoCA connection with a DirecTV DECA Gen2. The TV didn't seem to sense the connection. I can see the TV's MAC address on the network. The TV does sense the wired internet connection. I also reset both STBs to restart the network. DirecTV has set up the device and I can add a client in the Whole-home setup.
I also tore all this down and put the STBs on a solid GigE network. Same result. I prefer MoCA based on experts on the forum, but can support either.
Any ideas where to look next? The DECA has a power supply.
Thanks in advance.
