I have an HR24 and an HR34 set in "whole home" mode, and a Mini-Genie attached via Wireless Video Bridge, currently attached to my home network via WiFi with a CCK. I frequently get the dreaded "this device is no longer attached to the network" message. Sometimes it comes back, sometimes it doesn't. Then it takes several minutes for the network to reset.
I was thinking that if I attached the DirecTV network to my home network via cable, I would not have this problem anymore.
1) Is this a correct assumption?
2) If it is correct, how do I connect via Ethernet and disable the wifi connection, while still maintaining the "whole home" functionality? And do I need more than an ethernet switch and some cables?
