Can I have HR44 or HR54 as server only

I'm pretty sure this is a yes but want to check first. I have 3 video zones all with component video and coax. I want to upgrade to 4K TVs. Is it OK to have my HR44 stand alone (no TV hooked up) to act as the Genie Server to 3 clients on a MoCA network and 4K from the clients? This will save me from running cable.

Also, I'm hearing good things about the HR55. This would be a better "server" correct?
