Hello all - I'm looking for a cost-effective method of accessing a local open wifi signal. I live in the city of Chicago and can just barely access the signal with my old black MacBook using Airport while in the backyard. Once in the house, however, it's a lost cause. Is there an antenna of some sort that I can place in the backyard and have the signal redirected to my house? I bought a CCrane USB3 wifi antenna that I hang on a bedroom window, but have minimal results with it. Thanks for any help.
