Help switching from cable

I am considering switching from Cox cable to DirecTV mainly for the genie. I am in Orange County, CA. I have 8 TVs, 1 of which is a new Samsung that is RVU capable. I doubt we'll ever have 4 units on at once, so I am considering 1 H44, 6 C41s and an RVU for the Samsung. My house is wired with Cat5 (not 5e or 6) and has 2 cox runs at each unit so I am not concerned about a separate line for the Cox modem which I intend to keep. DirecTV didn't spec the H44 and C41 (just wasn't specific), but my plan is to hold out until they are available if they aren't already.

I called Directv direct and was quoted a net equipment cost after rebates of $98 plus initial monthly cost for the ultimate package of $105ish per month with the tiered discounts that seem to expire after 1 or 2 years.

I keep seeing mention of great deals to be had at the time of the first install and want to make sure I'm not missing out on any golden opportunities before I pull the trigger. Any help is appreciated.
