Hello,
i live in Europe, so i am not sure if anyone of you can help me, but hopefully some tech expert could advise me.
Situation is that i live in the country side and the nearest tower of my operator is located 1km away from my house, with no houses or any other obstacles in between. But i cant get strong signal.
I am using Huawei B315s-22 4G router, and i have bought 2 anthenas for it as it has 2 ports. Both are directional and with boost of 11dbi on the freq of 800Mhz same as my carrier uses on that tower (thats what tech support guy said). The router itself does not have settings to measure signal strength so i am limited to info Speedtest.net website gives me. Best speeds i could get was only D: 45Mbps and U: 20Mbps, with anthenas mounted one horizontal and one vertical both looking at tower. I would be satisfied with results if signal strength did not constantly change, downlink speed drop all the way to 25Mbps sometimes and the fact that holding my LG G4 smartphone in same spot as anthenas are mounted gives me speeds of D: 60Mbps+ and U: 22Mbps.
Would perhaps anyone know if its the problem of being so close to the cell tower or perhaps something else. about 300metres from my house there is cell tower of another carrier that also offers 4g(with not as good data plans.)
