Hello,
I purchased an older home recently and it had this antenna on the roof. It looks pretty old and since it's still standing and in pretty good shape I don't want to get rid of it. It looks like it has potential... I would rather try and restore it and use it as my primary antenna for OTA HDTV since I had to "cut the cord" with this ugly mortgage payment. Before I start I would like to know:
1. Is anyone able to identify the antenna brand
2. Are the antenna elements in the correct order? They seem out of place...
3. Is the top part VHF or UHF? Then whats the bottom part?
4. Can I sand it down and buff it or will this ruin the reception?
5. Finally, I can connect the matching transformer directly to the screws on the antenna, right?
Thank you,
Rick
