Hello everybody, gut a question about antennas, yes I've done tone of research and kinda have an idea what I need, you see I used to live in Va beach Va and I had a $20 Ross antenna that picked up everything, basically cause everything was 20 miles away max, well.....I sold the dump I was living in and left Va Beach never to return if I can help it, now I live in Rich square NC, the old Roses $20 antenna worked great picking up signal from Hampton Roads , I got 3 10 the 15's and the 33's 13 was too far and I never did figure out what I didn't get the 27's, anyway that thing worked great till I pulled the cable a little too hard one day, hopefully I can replace the cable and make it a radio antenna so my kid can listen to FM99 WNOR.
But here's the problem, we bought this $40 antenna from Walmart, I don't remember what kind it is but it looks like a GE Pro Outdoor Yagi antenna, I put it 25 feet up on a pole that i can turn, its supposed to have a 60 mile range but it will only pick up ch 7 and 9 out of Greenville which is technically farther that 3 and 10 out of Va, so, I'm once again change antennas, I'm thinking about long range antennas, that look like the old TV antennas when I was a kid that picked up 100 miles away, I need an antenna with the MAX range possible due to this location apparently being in the fringe area of eastern NC.
what are y'alls suggestions?
I need the max range, best price and 100 to 120 miles is preferable
I wanna pick up everything in all directions, Norfolk Raleigh Greenville etc.
