Hi,
I'm looking for some advice. I have a 15 month old Televes DAT 790 antenna that has an amplifier. It is mounted about 20' high and professionally installed. It has worked great till about a month ago and brought in many distant channels. Now I am having issues getting my NBC Affiliate KGW in Portland Or. This is the ONLY channel I could get without a rooftop antenna. It is the most powerful network in the Portland area. I have a Channel Master DVR and a Vizio TV. The CM has a signal Strength and quality meter. I have checked all the local networks and each has a signal strength of 100% and Quality usually 100% except KGW. KGW has 100% signal strength but Signal Quality is 25% or less. Once it gets below about 20% I get a black screen.
From what I have read, loss of quality could be from many things. So far I have checked all my Co-Ax and connections. All are fine and only 15 months old. I have tried unplugging the AMP and no difference. I checked the antenna and it was marked when installed so I can see if it got turned. All marks line up. Even checked it with my compass and it looks good. I doubt this is am aiming issue since my Signal Strength is 100% on all networks.
Would appreciate any ideas on how to trouble shoot this issue.
Thanks
Mark
