I am always trying different things to improve and expand and learn, so I experiment from time to time to understand what can and cannot be done. I have a outside antenna about 26ft in the air with a rotor and I am using a Direct Antenna DB8 with a, I think ChannelMaster pre-amp. What I did, I dont know if it was worth the time to do. I added a second DB8 below the first on pointing in the same direction, what I was thinking was possibly gain more signal due to the trees in the TV stations direction. Truthfully I really didnt see any change or gain. I was wondering a few things. If I use two DB8, should each have their own separate pre-amp, and did I just waste my money. As of now I have it set in two different directions so I can get my US channels and also get some Canadian Channels. I live in near Lake St Clair in Mich. with Canada on the other side. So are my assumptions wrong, also do pre-amps lose their strength over time and does UV play a part in the depletion of the equipment.
