I called solid signal the other day to inquire about a HR54 and its capabilities. I have a few older HR24's that work great. The HR24's are hooked up to a 10x10 4K Matrix. I'd like to maximize my current AV possibilities though. I have numerous Sony 4K televisions that all have the DIRECTV ready option in them. The sales rep said I was best off to post here to get the correct info, because he had limited knowledge on the specifics.
All my TV's are hard wired into my structured wired network. I have a few managed switches that control my entire setup, approx. 70 networked devices. I'd prefer to use the existing wire and setup employed. I don't know enough about the different adapters and such that might be required to enable my DIRECTV ready televisions. I'm not gona pick one up unless the transition is smooth and easy
My questions are,
How many simultaneous steams will a HR54 allow
What will I exactly need to employ the direct ready option on each television (6 4K sony)
Does the HR54 put out a direct 4K signal with a 2.2 HDCP interface
Any help would be great.
