HR34 no longer connecting to network after 0x740 update

Not sure if this is the right forum so mods please move/delete as needed.

The current setup is an HR34 and a single C31 client installed in April 2013. I originally did not have any splitters just the power inverter feeding up to the dish and then connected to the HR34 via the IRD port.

Last wednesday (8/28) our HR34 receiver updated to the new 0x740 software. Ever since this time the receiver will not connect to the network. Prior to the update everything was working great.

It seems oddly coincidental that the only change was a software update but to test I thought I would try a CCK. When I received the CCK it ended up being the new DECA2 adapter but as I understand it they are functionally equivalent so I pressed on. I also obtained a 4-way green label splitter and hooked up as follows:

In = Feed to LNB on dish
Out 1 w/power pass = connected to power inverter on input "to LNB"
Out 2 = connected to HR34
Out 3 = connected to DECA2 on input "to LNB"
Out 4 = terminated

My DECA2 is powered by the included power supply connected to the "SAT/Receiver/Power" input and also plugged into the network. I removed the ethernet connection from my HR34 hoping that the DECA2 would inject ethernet over the COAX.

This works great for the C31 but the HR34 still will not get an IP address.

Does this sound like a faulty internal NIC/DECA on the HR34 or a software bug? Has anyone seen this issue with the 0x740 software update? I really don't want to get a new receiver since I have tons of shows I haven't watched yet and hate to start over.

Thanks,
John
