"Searching for signal on the off air tuner" despite 100% signal quality?

A strange problem began yesterday and I don't know what to make of it. All my receivers (H20s with built in tuner, and newer HD receivers with AM21) can't tune one particular OTA channel. When I try to tune it, I get a message 771 - Searching for signal on the off air tuner (792).

When I check signal strength I have 100% signal on this channel, as always. I can tune this channel via a TV's RF input, demonstrating there is no signal issue. Even stranger, I am able to tune the subchannel for this station (-2) via the receiver no problem, it is only the main -1 channel I can't receive. There is guide info shown for this station (both -1 and -2) and it is the main FOX station around here so I know it wouldn't be removed from the database

.I haven't had a firmware update in the last few days so it wasn't caused by that, and I ran a diagnostic on one of the receivers and the only complaint was the lack of a phone line.

Has anyone ever encountered something like this? Any idea how to fix it? If it is still doing it tomorrow I'll call Directv and get my locals via satellite enabled, but since this is some sort of problem having to do with Directv - based on seeing 100% signal and being able to tune it perfectly on a TV. I wonder if the satellite version of this channel will have the same problem?

It can't be a receiver problem, because it affects them all. It can't be a firmware problem because it affects H20s that hardly ever get updates, as well as newer receivers using AM21. It can't be a signal problem because I can receive it on a TV and the Directv receivers are able to tune the subchannel. This has me truly stumped.
