I have been a Direct TV customer for quite a few years now. I had direct tv come out to my cabin and install a system, got it all up and working ok. We would like to take a receiver from a spare bedroom at home and take it out to the cabin and use it when we are out there. We have a new oblong dish at the cabin and at home I have a round dish. We can not get the home receiver to fined a signal out at the cabin. The cabin receiver works fine checked the lines going to the bedrooms with a meter they are ok. We closed up the cabin in October for the winter we took the cabin receiver home to try on our home system. The cabin receiver will not fined a signal on the home system. I have four receivers at home and would like to use one of them at the cabin when we are out there and not have to by another receiver
