After many years of cable and satellite, I decided to pull the plug and install an outdoor HDTV antenna.
I purchased a large Winegard, that had a 90 mile reception rating.
Right out of the box, I could tell that this was not the way they built them years ago. No longer anodized. A useless 90 day guarantee. Flimsy light, thin material.
The first 50 mph wind gust, here in Iowa, tore this antenna apart. I posted my complaint and pictures to the winegard forum and had a lot of responses.
They deleted the topic and pictures. I never had problems like this ever, with Winegard or Channel Master 25 or more years ago.
Where can I find better quality outdoor HDTV antennas ?
